Teresa Anne (Sunday) Wiggs, lovingly known as Teri, 71, of Modesto, California, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025. She was born on January 24, 1954, and lived a life devoted to her family, her faith, and her calling as a nurse.
A 1972 graduate of Ben Franklin High School, Teri went on to pursue a career in nursing, earning her master’s degree and beginning her life’s work at just 21 years old. She cared for patients with compassion and dedication until her recent retirement, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.
Teri married the love of her life, Bobby Wiggs, and together they created countless memories filled with love, laughter, and joy. She is survived by her daughters, Holly Silva (Anthony Silva), and Kari Germany; her stepchildren, Julie, Laura, and John; her six grandchildren, Dylan, Chasten, Preslie, Lynden, Rylen, and Ryker; and her two great-grandchildren, Slater and Sawyer. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. Teri never missed a birthday or holiday, always making sure her family felt celebrated, loved, and cherished.
Known for her fiery spirit and her spicy red hair, Teri brought color, strength, and joy to everyone around her. She leaves behind not only her immediate family but also her extended family and a wide circle of dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Outside of work, Teri loved traveling, boating, shopping, attending church, baking and cooking, and surrounding herself with the color purple. She had a fondness for Gone with the Wind and a love of pigs that always brought a smile to those around her. The youngest of four siblings, she carried a vibrant spirit and a heart full of kindness.
Teri will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, her faith, her generosity, and her zest for life. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she so deeply cherished.
To know her was to love her, and to love her is to miss her.
