Ruth Adeline Turner, age 92, of Bedford, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at The Springs at Oldham Reserve in Lagrange, Kentucky. She was born September 24, 1933 in Carrollton, Kentucky, the daughter of Raymond Ira and Viola Grace (Robertson) Powell.
Mrs. Turner was a 1952 graduate of Trimble County High School and a 1956 graduate of Campbellsville College in Campbellsville, Kentucky. She formerly worked as an assembler at the former Conn Organ Company, and retired as a secretary with the former Jefferson Proving Ground in 1995 when the base closed. Both were in Madison, Indiana.
She was a member of the Bedford Baptist Church, enjoyed farming, growing fruits and vegetables, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Turner was said to be a great cook, a loving mother, and a sweet lady who would help anyone in need.
Her surviving family includes two daughters: Vicki Egerton of Nicholasville, Kentucky, and Sherri Green and her husband, Kenneth of Pendleton, Kentucky; two sons: Steven Turner and his wife, Abby of Bedford, and Terry Turner and his wife, Staci of Milton, Kentucky; two sisters: Joan Wentworth and Judy Edens, both of Milton; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Turner on September 17, 2004, and to whom she was married on December 14, 1954; one brother, Owen Powell, and one son-in-law, Barney Egerton.
The Reverend Tommy Purvis will officiate funeral services.
