Sue Hiatt

Sue Ann Hiatt, a compassionate and creative soul, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025. Born in Wellington, KS, on February 14, 1944, Sue was a beacon of love and loyalty throughout her life. She resided in Wichita, Kansas, where she devoted her life to her family and the community, and her caring nature touched the lives of many.

Sue worked diligently as a bank teller at Security State Bank. Her hard work and dedication led her to retire in 1996, a significant accomplishment that allowed her to focus on her true passion – being a full-time grandmother. Sue’s creative spirit was seen in her love for crafts, and she also took a keen interest in her family’s genealogy. She was a devoted fan of Disney World, and her love for simple pleasures was evident in her enjoyment of milkshakes from Braum’s and a pop from Sonic.

Sue is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Martin Faust, her adored grandchildren Tyler Faust, and his wife Peyton, and Hailey Faust. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Parker and Dylan Faust. Sue’s life was surrounded by love, and she will be deeply missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Murray and Marcella Threlfall, and her beloved husband, Edwin Hiatt.
