Stephen Bruce Bickett, 73, beloved father and grandfather, passed away early on Monday morning, May 19, 2025, in his Granbury home.

A memorial service celebrating Stephen’s life will be held at 2 P.M., on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Rancho Brazos Community Center, 3701 Sundown Trail, in Granbury, Texas.

Stephen was born on August 18, 1951, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, to the late Marion Bickett and Mary Ellen Isham. After winning his heart with a pan of chocolate chip cookies, Stephen married Lou Ann Hughes on February 28, 1988. Together they had three daughters, Stephanie, Rachel, & Nadine. Stephen proudly served his country in the US Navy for 20 years. Stephen went on to serve a career at the United States Post Office for 23 years. Stephen enjoyed flat dirt motorcycle racing and participated in over 200 races. He was a talented musician who enjoyed playing guitar and singing. He particularly enjoyed Blues & Classic Rock. Stephen will be remembered for his teasing & his funny sense of humor. Most of all, Stephen loved spending time with his family particularly his children.

Stephen is survived by his daughters, Stephanie (Curtis Campbell) Bickett, Rachel (Dustin) Procter, and Nadine (Andrew) Sheeley; his grandchildren, Sophie, Nevy, Kyra, Jonathan, and Abigail; and by his siblings, Paula Hackbarth, Beverly Frieshma, Dale Bickett, Gale Bickett, and Brian Bickett.

In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his wife LouAnn in 2002 and by his little sister, Debbie.
