STEPHEN JOSEPH BERZSENYI
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephen Joseph Berzsenyi, a devoted husband, loving father, proud Army Veteran, and life long farmer, who passed away peacefully at Roubal Care & Rehab Center on July 13, 2025 at the age of 89.
Born on December 14, 1935, Stephen lived a life defined by hard work, quiet strength, and deep love for his family and land. He proudly served his country as a member of the Army, and upon returning home he dedicated his life to farming-a vocation he pursued with passion and pride for many decades.
In September of 1959 he married the love of his life, Rosemary Hollo, with whom he shared 65 years of unwavering companionship and partnership. Together, they built a home grounded in hard work, resilience and family values. He was a proud and caring father to their son, Michael Robert Berzsenyi, who was his greatest joy.
Stephen will be remembered for his quiet wisdom, strong hands, generous heart and enduring love for his country and those around him. Whether in the fields or around the family table, he led by example and lived a life of purpose.
Survivors include his wife: Rosemary; son: Michael; sister: Rosalie (Charles) Wade; many nieces and nephews; and a legacy of hard work and devotion.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents: Stefan and Mary Berzsenyi; brothers: John (Betty) Berzsenyi and Robert (Macy) Berzsenyi; and nephew: James Berzsenyi.
A service honoring his life will be held in the distant future. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home is assisting the Berzsenyi family with arrangements.
