Ruby Barton

RUBY LYNN (PEAK) BARTON, 57, of Deel, VA, passed away Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Grundy, VA. Born in Dayton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Paul Edward and Ruby Jean (Sturgill) Peak. She was a longtime resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Vansant Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, homemaker, and enjoyed doing puzzle books and coloring books.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Isaac Lemmey Lee Barton; Mother and Father-in-Law: Ocie and Lemmey Barton.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ricky Lee Barton of Deel, VA; Daughter: Eden Lynn Barton; Brother: Mike Peak; Sister-in-Law: Shirley (Randall) Moore.

Visitation will be held at the Vansant Church of Christ Wednesday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Funeral Services for RUBY LYNN (PEAK) BARTON will be conducted Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at the Vansant Church of Christ with Mike Rife, Stanley Smith and Eddie Wilson officiating with burial to follow in the Tiller Cemetery on Tiller Town, Council, VA.

Active Pallbearers will be Ronald Anderson, Bill Crigger, Bill Cook, Scott Bostic, Greg Dales, Tim O’Quinn, Ricky Owens and Brad Boyd.
