In Loving Memory of Blanca Muñiz

April 26, 1953 – July 13, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Blanca Muñiz, who peacefully entered eternal rest on the evening of July 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 72 years old.

Blanca, affectionately known as Mama Blanca, was the heart and soul of our family. Born in Mexico City, Mexico, she immigrated to the United States to reunite with her father and siblings in 1962, when she was eight-years old. With deep faith, resilience, and a quiet strength, she built a life rooted in love, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her family.

Blanca was known for her kind heart, warm smile, and open arms. Her home was always filled with the smell of home-cooked meals, the sound of laughter, and the comfort of her gentle presence. Whether offering a plate of food, a listening ear, or heartfelt advice, she made everyone feel welcome and cared for. Her love was boundless, especially for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. She lit up when she spoke of them, often recalling stories with pride and tenderness.

Despite facing numerous health challenges in her final year, Blanca never lost her spirit. She remained a source of strength and comfort to those around her. Her faith carried her through, and her love never wavered.

She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, humility, and fierce love. Blanca is survived by her devoted husband, Jesus Muñiz; her children: Silvia (Héctor), David, and Ruben; her grandchildren: Elysa, Anthony, Angelo, Lili, Maria, Bianca, Jocelyn, Mario, Moana, Ben, and Alex; her great-grandchildren: Aiyana and Jacob; and many relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

A Rosary will be held at Daniel’s Chapel of the Roses, located at 1225 Sonoma Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95405, on July 30, 2025, at 6:00 pm.

A Mass to celebrate Blanca’s life will take place at St. Rose Catholic Church, located at 398 10th St, Santa Rosa, CA 95401, on July 31, 2025, at 10:30 am.

A burial will follow on August 1, 2025, at 1:30 pm at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, located at 2930 Bennett Valley Rd, Santa Rosa, CA 95404.

Our hearts ache for her loss, but we find comfort in knowing Mama Blanca’s love will remain with us always—in the meals we share, the stories we tell, and the warmth we pass on to others.
