Rose Owens
Rose Mary Owens, 92, of Damascus, VA passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025 in the Carrington Place of Wytheville, VA. She was born on April 25, 1932, a daughter of the late Herbert and Gracie Hale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Wesley Owens; five children, Sharon Mullins, Jimmy Owens, Kirby Owens, Randy Owens, and Ricky Owens; one granddaughter, Chelsea Owens; and five sisters and one brother.
She had lived in St. Paul, VA for many years before moving to Damascus, VA in 1981. She enjoyed doing needle point and working puzzles.
She is survived by one daughter, Delila Hurd (Bobby); one son, Danny Hale (Bridgette); seven grandchildren, James Hurd, Jr., Nikki Deese (James), Aaron Hurd (Crystal), Wesley Owens (Shelly), Shawna Hale, Selena Hale, and Angela Owens; 18 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the graveside at Sunset Memorial Park in Damascus, VA.
