Rodney Beardy
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Son/Brother Rodney Roy Beardy on July 24th 2025 at the age of 44.
Rodney was born in The Pas, MB on June 27 1981 to Edna Beardy and Brian Isbistor.
When Rodney was born his other family called him Tar Baby, cause of how dark he was. Rodney grew up in Wabowden, MB where he liked to run around and hang out with friends having fun. In the summers he would go out to his grandpas fish camp on Pakwa Lake where he learned how to pull/set nets and clean fish and just have fun with all his cousins.
At 13 years old he moved to Bird to live with grandparents Rodney and Catherine Beardy. Rodney was a hard worker and a fast learner, he learned how to hunt, set traps and live off the land by his grandpa Rodney and other elders in Bird.
Rodney later on moved to Gillam where he met Crystal-Lynn and had 3 beautiful children together. Rodney enjoyed playing volleyball, watching his favorite hockey team the Pittsburgh Penguins play on tv and being with his children.
Rodney will be sadly missed by his children; his sons Fredrick and Cree and his baby girl Aubriegh-Lynn(Crystal) His parents Edna Beardy(Wayne Marcinyshyn) and Darrell McGillivary. Siblings; Madison McGillivary(Patrick) Jacob McGillivary(Heather), Delaney, Matthew, Misty(Gerald), Kaylese(BF) and William McGillivary. Nieces/Nephews; Vinny, Chad, Jayden, Jaelyn, Halley, Calley, Zayn, Benjamin, Zoelle, Aidyn, Saphire, Zeth, Lexxei and Luxton. Aunts and Uncles, numerous cousins and his many friends. We are sorry if we missed anyone, it was not intentional.
Rodney was predeceased by his dad Brian Isbistor, his brother Mark Beardy McGillivary; His Grandparents: Rodney and Catherine Beardy, Donald and Mary Villeneuve, Virginia and Roy Priest and His Granny Elizabeth Isbistor. His uncles Leonard Beardy, Sidney Beardy, Doug Fourre, Aunty Ester Bignell; Step sister Leah Marcinshyn; His cousin Miranda Beardy- Thorassie and Brian Isbistor.
Viewing held at Boardman/Northland Funeral Home on Monday, August 4th from 1:00—4:00pm. Cremation to follow. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
