Robert Anness

Robert Edwin Anness, known to his friends and family as Bob, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Born September 15, 1958, in Dayton, Ohio to Charles & Louise Anness.

Bob was a man who deeply valued family and faith.  He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones and always put them at the center of his life.   Bob was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 43 years, Cookie, and

a proud father to their son Brian. 

He is also remembered with love by this brothers Charles, John, David, and sister Kay, and many nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his grandchildren:  Kaitlyn, Katie, Charlotte; great-grandchildren:  Zariyah, Gabby.

Bob was happiest when surrounded by family, sharing stories, laughter and love.  He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting and passed down those traditions to those closest to him.  Known for his determination and generous heart, Bob was always ready to help, whether it was a family, a friend, or even someone he had just met.  The years working overseas as a contractor gave him the opportunity to touch countless lives all over the world.  His kindness, steady presence and sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew him.  

As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life well lived, one filled with love, unforgettable moments, and the legacy of a man who touched so many lives.

Services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel in Granbury, Texas.
