Billie Harris

Billie Jean Harris, 89, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, of Granbury, Texas, passed away early on Wednesday morning, September 24, 2025, in Granbury.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 on Thursday evening, October 9, 2024, at the Wiley Funeral Home, 400 Highway 377 East in Granbury. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, October 10, at the Triple Cross Cowboy Church, 3470 Lipan Highway in Thorp Spring. Burial will follow at Granbury Cemetery.

Billie was born on January 17, 1936, in Cross Cut, Texas, to the late George & Annie Mae Wright. On May 8, 1955, Billie married Daniel “Danny” L. Harris and together had one son, Mike. Billie taught 5th Grade at Granbury Elementary School for 28 years. She was a member of the Triple Cross Cowboy Church in Thorp Spring. Billie enjoyed entertaining in her home and will be remembered for the loving devotion she had for her family.

Billie is survived by her son, Mike and wife Sherri Rose Harris; granddaughter, Ava Catelyn Rose; sister, Paula Ann Winfrey; by numerous nieces and nephews; and by dozens of friends.

In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Danny; her brother, Russell Wright; and by her nephew, Dustin Winfrey.
