In Loving Memory of Peter Michael Regan

With deep sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved brother Peter Michael Regan, who left us peacefully on July 19th at the age of 72.

Born in Brooklyn, New York to Mary A and John P Regan, Peter was the third of nine children. He grew up in Dobbs Ferry where he attended Sacred Heart Grade School and served as an altar boy at Sacred Heart Church. He graduated from Archbishop Stepinac High School and later from St. John’s University, where he competed as a middle-distance runner for both institutions.

Peter is survived by his siblings: Dennis, John, James, Michael, Kevin, Matthew, Patrick and Mary (Hayes), along with a wide circle of cousins and friends who loved him dearly. While our hearts are broken by this loss, we are profoundly grateful for the time we shared with him and the many cherished memories that will keep his spirit alive.

On July 1, 1978 Peter married Mary Knoth in Denver, Colorado. Together they raised 4 children – Jennifer, Christopher, Shannon and Kelly – who in turn blessed them with 10 grandchildren. Peter devoted over 30 years of his career to Johns Manville Corporation.

A funeral service will be held on July 31, 2025 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Centennial, Colorado. The day will begin with a prayer service, followed by the funeral Mass. A reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter’s memory to Special Olympics Colorado.
