Andriana Rivera

Andriana Rivera, age 72, of Lewes, Delaware, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025. Born on October 24, 1952, in New York City, Andriana was a dedicated and passionate educator. She earned two degrees in mathematics; a bachelors degree from New York University and a masters degree from The City College of New York. Andriana devoted 30 years of her life to teaching in the New York City public school system, primarily in the Bronx. She inspired generations of students with her encouragement, patience, and love of learning.

Andriana was proud of her Greek heritage and found joy in sharing it with others, especially by cooking recipes passed down from her parents. Andriana was an animal lover and enjoyed many hobbies like knitting and golfing with friends, nurturing her plants and garden, and spending time at the beach with family.

Andriana is survived by her husband of 45 years, Rafael; her son, Cris, and his partner, Martyna; her sister-in-law, Hilda; her beloved grandchildren, John and Paul; and her four-legged grandchild, Augie. She leaves behind countless cherished memories and a legacy of kindness, devotion, and generosity. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 2 from 2:00-5:00 PM at the Feeney Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Andriana’s name to Heat It To Beat It at Mercy would be greatly appreciated.
