Pamela (Neidholdt) Benson

Pamela Kathleen (Neidholdt) Benson, 75, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, at her home in Brunswick, MO. A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Theiss will officiate the service. A visitation will precede the service at the church from 9:30-11:00 A.M. Inurnment will be in Elliott Grove Cemetery in Brunswick, MO.

Pam, as she was known by her family and friends, was born on May 4, 1950 in Brookfield, MO, the daughter of Melvin and Hildreth (Brandt) Neidholdt. She graduated from Brunswick High School in 1968 and later attended Central Missouri State University.

Pam began working for the printing services department of the University of Central Missouri in 1987 and continued working there until her retirement in 2009.

On December 31, 1990, she was united in marriage to John Benson in Warrensburg, MO. Pam was a very active member of her community and church. She served as the secretary for the Brunswick Pecan Festival committee for several years, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, volunteered at our local food bank for more than a decade, was the superintendent of the St. John’s Lutheran Church vacation bible school, taught weekday school for many years, and volunteered for the Altar Guild. She loved taking care of her family, spending time with friends, crafting, and gardening.

Pam is survived by her mother, Hildreth Neidholdt of Brunswick, MO; her beloved husband of the home, John; one daughter, Shelle Johnson and her husband Danny of Grandview, MO; one step-daughter, Whitney Benson of Sandy, UT; one sister, Toni Burton and her husband Bob of Liberty, MO; and two step-grandchildren, Micah and Oden.

She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin.

Memorials are suggested to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Elliott Grove Cemetery, or the Linn County Humane Society. Donations may be left at Breshears Memorial Chapel or mailed to the funeral home at 207 W. Broadway, Brunswick, MO, 65236.
