Nicke Loftus

Nicke died peacefully May 23, 2025 at the age of 93 in San Bruno where she lived for the past 22 years. She was predeceased by her husband Ted in 2012 after 58 years of marriage. She died on what would have been their 71st wedding anniversary.
A San Francisco native, she graduated Commerce High School in 1949. She is survived by her sons Steven Loftus and David Loftus (Anna); her grandchildren Edwin Taylor, Brent Kelly (Clara), Rose Barba (Brian), George Jensen (Heather), and Michael Loftus (Jillian). She is also survived by her brother Ted Dimitre of Millbrae, and many loving nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and great-nephews. She was Nonie (great grandmother) to Liam, Sophia, William, Addison, Ava, Dylan, Angelina, Dominic, Gianna, Daniella, and Stella. She was predeceased by her parents, Nickolas and Catherine Pappadimitriou.
Nicke enjoyed traveling/cruises with Ted, the San Bruno Senior Center, C&W and line dancing (even with her walker!), crossword puzzles, QVC, Hallmark movies, and loving on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her greatest passion was beating her sons and her niece Carol at Scrabble.
The family especially thanks Sandra Prudencio for being her excellent and loving caretaker for nearly a decade. The family also thanks her doctors, Bina Lu and Gerald Murphy, the staff at Peninsula Post Acute and Mills Peninsula Medical Center, and Sutter Care at Home for their care during the last two months of her life.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Monday, June 2, 2025, with the Funeral Liturgy at 6:00 PM at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City, California. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your favorite charities in memory of Nicke.
