Mildred Woolery
Mildred Louise Woolery, age 85, widow of Hershal Woolery, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025.
Born in Estill County on November 20, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Bonnie Reed. Louise dedicated many years of her life to serving the community through her work with the Board of Education, where she made a lasting impact on the lives of countless students and colleagues.
Louise will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jennifer (Tim) Faith Reece; her son, Edward (Ellen) Woolery; and two cherished grandchildren, Eddie Woolery and Adam Reece as well as great grandchildren Nathan and Owen Reece. She also leaves behind her nephew, Steven Reed, two nieces; DeeDee Barker and Brenda Tipton and sister-in-law, Carol Dennis.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Bobby Woolery; her brother, Larry Reed; sister-in-law, Evelyn Woolery; brother-in-law, Kenneth Woolery; and nephew, Roger Woolery.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Ravenna Church of God, officiated by Pastor Chuck Ferrell and Willie Gordon. Private burial will follow in Turpin Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice Care Plus or Alzheimer’s Association.
