Master Gardners host Pollinator Plant Sale Saturday at Carson City Community Garden

Master Gardners host Pollinator Plant Sale Saturday at Carson City Community Garden

The University of Nevada, Reno’s Master Gardeners are hosting a plant sale!

Visit the Carson City Community Garden on Saturday, May 31st from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for local pollinator plants to decorate your outdoor areas.

These plants are native to Nevada and acclimated to our ever-changing climate.

Plant starts were cultivated by staff and volunteers of Extension’s Master Gardener Program and the Experiment Station’s Desert Farming Initiative at the University’s Valley Road Field Lab and Greenhouse Complex and other University and partner locations.

Both Extension and the Experiment Station are units of the University’s College of Agriculture, Biotechnology & Natural Resources, which seeks to promote availability and consumption of healthy local foods statewide, as well as to stimulate and assist the state’s agriculture and horticulture industries.

All funds raised will go towards the Master Gardeners and their community projects.
