Mary Beth Tukua passed away from pancreatic cancer at the age of 59 at Denver Hospice on August 28,2025. She is survived by her husband of 28 years Steve, and dog Riley.
Born on December 8, 1965, in Denver, CO. She rests in light with her father Richard Berkenkotter and brother David Berkenkotter. She was the second youngest of five children and is survived by her mother Phyllis, brothers Stephan, Dan, and sister Theresa.
Mary and Steve were married on August 30, 1997. Mary went to Salida high school and attended cosmetology school. She received her certified professional coder certificate from The American Academy of Professional Coders. Starting in 1992, Mary worked for Clinic Service Corporation for 33 years first in bookkeeping and advanced to product development.
Beyond her career, Mary found her greatest joy in the time spent with her husband Steve, time at the Grand Lake cabin, camping, traveling, family, close friends, and family dog Riley.
Mary was a kind, gentle soul who radiated warmth and kindness. She was very dedicated to her husband and her job at Clinic Service. She will be remembered not only for her accomplishments but also looking out for and taking care of others. She will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 11:00am at Ellis Family Services on September 27, 2025. Ellis Family Services address is13436 West Arbor Place, Littleton CO 80127.
