Firefighters called to Dayton Valley Road apartment fire

Central Lyon Fire and Carson City Fire Department were called early Saturday afternoon to a structure fire at an apartment building in Dayton.

Mutual aide support was requested by Central Lyon Fire into Carson City dispatch at around 12:20 p.m., reporting the fire at Edgewood Apartments in the 300 block of Dayton Valley Road. Storey County Fire Protection District and East Fork Fire Protection also assisted with coverage.

Dispatch reports the fire, which was knocked down, had been well established in an attic of an apartment and there were evacuations. There are no reports of injuries or fatalities at this time, per incident command, which had requested the State Fire Marshal. We will update when information becomes available.
