Mary Ann Lindsey, age 78, of Eldon, Missouri ran peacefully into the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ early on August 9, 2025, at Lake Regional Health System, with many of her loved ones surrounding her. She was born on March 4, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri; a daughter of Lee Robert and Vernie Ivadell (Atteberry) Lindsey.
Mary had an amazing love for the Lord Jesus Christ. She knew Jesus and had a close, intimate relationship with Him. Mary was such a Prayer Warrior for her family, friends and anyone that needed prayers. Jesus filled her heart and His unconditional love flowed out of her to others. In addition to her passion for spreading Jesus’s word, she loved nature. She would plant an array of flowers, fruit trees and bushes which turned her yard into a tranquil landscape of year-round beauty. Mary also had a love for animals. Her and her sister, Jo Anne Lindsey, started a small business called Bryar Rose Kennels in Rocky Mount, MO. Even after Jo Anne’s retirement, Mary poured her heart and soul into the 16 year long business of raising the finest dog breeds. Before Mary retired in 2009, she specialized in beautiful Yorkies. Mary’s puppies were highly praised, and their blood lines will continue to carry unconditional love to thousands of people for years to come, like ripples in water.
Mary’s legacy lives on through her beloved three children: daughter Susan Lynne Gibson of Overland Park, KS, daughter Anna Lee Vernon Diebold and her husband Scott of Eldon, MO, and her son David Eric Vernon of Eldon, MO. Mary was the very proud grandma of five precious grandchildren and one awesome grandson-in-law: Zoe Gibson, Abby Gibson, Crystal Diebold Giovanelli and her husband Hunter, Ashley Vernon and Megan Vernon. Mary is also survived by many other precious people in her life; Sister in Christ/niece Bonnie Janowiak and her husband / Brother in Christ Paul Janowiak, Brother in Christ/nephew Jerry Alberson (Chas), Sister in Christ/niece Wendy Alberson Christen, Sister in Christ/friend Linda Hinson, brother-in-law Jim Hull, her beloved former husband Glen David Vernon, and many other nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving parents; her loving siblings Jo Anne Lindsey, Ruth Ann (Ruthie) Hull and Robert Lee (Bobby) Lindsey; and her precious Yorkie dog, Tinkerbella (Baby).
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes, 514 Highway 42, Osage Beach, MO 65065 (573) 348-3232. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.hedgesscottmillard.com.
