Hilda Grace Bowling 87 of Pikeville, KY Passed from this earthly life Friday August 8, 2025, at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY.
Hilda was born Saturday September 25, 1937, in Floyd County, KY a daughter of the late Carl James and Mary Burchett.
Other than her parents Hilda was preceded in death by her first husband James Spears; her second husband Thomas Lee Bowling; one son Roland Spears; one daughter Colita Brown; one brother Larry Shortridge; and one sister Ruby Tussey.
Hilda is survived by one son Jimmy Brown of Robinson Creek, KY; five daughters Brenda James, Glenda Collins, Joyce Burchett all of Pikeville, KY, Lasheri (Ellis) Akers of Dana, KY and Jackie (Justin) Spears of TN; three brothers Darvin Shortridge, Ronald Shortridge both of Prestonsburg, KY and Carl Shortridge of Winchester, KY; three sisters Peggy Clevenger, Geneva Compton both of Prestonsburg, KY and Barbara Shortridge of East Point; 17 Grandchildren; 42 Great Grandchildren; and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
Hilda leaves behind many other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Hilda Grace Bowling will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
