Marian Johnston

Marian Marie Johnston, 80, of Rutledge, Missouri, passed away at the Boone County Hospital in Boone on Monday, August 11, 2025. She was born on September 19, 1944, in Knox County, Missouri, the daughter of Norman and Margie Shahan.

After graduating from high school, Marian married David Johnston on June 23, 1962. She was a stay-at-home mother to her children. Marian was a member of the Eastern Star and Phi Lambda Missouri state chapter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Johnston; parents, Norman and Margie Shahan; nephew, Lonnie Lee Aldridge; and brother, David Shahan.

Marian is survived by her sons, Chris Johnston, Bryan Johnston, and Arlise Johnston; and grandchildren: Whitney, Gail, Brandi, Bailey, John, and Bradley.

Services will be held at a later date in Rutledge, Missouri.
