Cristobal (Chris) Mondragon, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away on August 8, 2025 just 2 days before his 89th birthday. He was born August 10, 1936 in Ranchos De Taos, NM, where he lived most of his life until he moved to Arizona in 2000.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Corrine; son, Christopher Mondragon (Tom); daughter, Caryn Gose (Paul); grandchildren Stephanie Pollett, Carolyn Sarda, KrisAnn McBroom, Joseph Sanchez and Brianda Sanchez; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers Abelardo Mondragon (Ida), Gilbert Mondragon (Arlene), Uvaldo Mondragon (Ruby); sisters Ruby Montoya (Joe) and Linda Gonzales (John).
Chris was preceded in death by daughter, Carmela Mondragon; parents Eduardo and Solidea Mondragon; brothers Tony Mondragon and Margarito Mondragon and sisters, Delia Graham and Molly Archuleta.
Chris graduated from Highland University with a degree in accounting, which is practiced for many years. He was also a business owner, having started Four Seasons Office Supply, which he owned for over 25 years. After selling the business he became a realtor with Century 21 where he earned Top Rookie, First Quarter 1995.
Chris served on my organizations including the Kit Carson Rural Electric Board, San Francisco De Asís Catholic Church in Ranchos de Taos, Melody Ranch Homeowners Association, Holy Cross Catholic Church and many more.
A devout Catholic, Chris walked by faith throughout his life, and his strength and devotion to God served as a guiding light for his family. His sense of humor brought light and laughter into every room he entered. He loved to be outside whether it was golfing or gardening or taking long walks.
Services will be held in Arizona and are scheduled for October 17, 2025.
