Peg Sprecher, age 75, of Spring Green WI, passed away, surrounded by the love of her family in her home on April 3, 2025. She was born on July 10, 1949; the daughter of Charles Barton and Grace M. (McGinley) Barton. Peg married Jerry Sprecher on February 5, 1966.
Peg graduated from the River Valley High School in Spring Green WI. She always looked forward to playing in the homecoming parade with the River Valley Alumni Marching Band and reconnecting with her classmates, these relationships she held dear to her heart.
While raising her two children, Peg ran the farm business for 57 years with Jerry, and other business ventures throughout the years, she was a very busy lady. She enjoyed bowling, tennis, skiing, golfing and fishing. Peg was a talented artist, she loved to make stained glass designs, cross stitch, quilt and sew, at one point she made a miniature bride dress to replicate the actual bride’s dress, her workmanship was meticulous.
Peg and Jerry shared a life in their hometown of Spring Green and spent many years at Lake Wisconsin making memories with family and friends. In later years, they spent winters in Bonita Springs Florida, spending precious time with loved ones creating lifelong friendships.
Peg is survived by her husband, Jerry of 59 years; her son, Martin (Sonja) Sprecher; daughter, Cheri (Tim) Jordan; grandchildren and one great grandchild; her siblings, Brent (Jeffrey Clair) Nielson and Jodi (Troy) (nee Gritzmacher) Nolden, nieces and nephews. Peg is also survived by her husband’s siblings and their spouses, along with many nieces, nephews, and other extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Elizabeth (Betty/Liz) Kane.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Spring Green. Visitation will be held Friday, May 2, 2025 at the Church from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and again on Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass.
