Lino Baclian

Lino Boleche Baclian of San Diego, California passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Lino will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Born in the family hometown of Loog, Basey, Samar, Philippines, Lino was the 2nd child of his parents, Manuel & Gorgonia. The family moved to Hawaii, & finally stateside, to San Diego. Although he grew up in San Diego, and spent most of his life here, he felt a great pull to his homeland, returning in later life, & expressed the desire to spend most of his time there. None of his family members can think of him without thinking of him SINGING; it was like oxygen to him. He had a beautiful singing voice & a gentle, patient demeanor, with a ready smile & laugh. His family is comforted knowing that, in the end, he was doing his favorite thing, karaoke, singing his favorite song. He is survived by his daughters Selina, Tania and Helen; grandchildren Deja Liggins-Baclian, Saqwon “Buddy” Williams, Manu-Kai Melendez, & great grandson Tyrone Jones III; former wife, Mary; siblings Manuel (Lisa), Michael (Wendy), Phil (Marilou), Jennifer (Richard), his father, Manuel (Luz), many nieces & nephews & great nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Isaac, & by his mother, Gorgonia.
