Linda Moag

Linda Marie Moag, nee Volkers, of Northbrook, passed away on October 24th, surrounded by her family.  Loving wife of 63 years to James Moag, dedicated mother of two terrific sons, Andrew and Christopher [Tracy] cherished “Gramma” of Bailey [Brady], Natalie [Ryan], James and Matthew, beloved sister of Marlena, devoted daughter of the late Karl and Marie Volkers and fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Linda met the love of her life while both worked at Leo Burnett Advertising Agency.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, working in the garden and was an avid reader and cross word puzzle solver.  She loved to travel and since 1949, when she gazed at it for the first time, considered Lake Lucerne in Wisconsin to be her “Heaven on Earth”.  Christmas was her favorite holiday and especially when her adored grandchildren helped to “Christmastize” her home and they painted holiday pictures on her kitchen windows.  “The old life that our family shared together is untouched and unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, we are still.  We will speak of you in the way we always used.  We will smile, think of you and pray for you.  Life means all that it ever meant.  You will not be out of mind just because you are out of sight.  All is well.”  In accordance with Linda’s wishes, Linda’s interment was private.
