Linda Magee

LAFAYETTE ~ A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for Linda Louise Ferguson Magee, age 54, who passed away Monday, October 27, 2025, at the Carpenter House in Lafayette. She was a native of Tyler, Texas, and a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana.

Linda was a beautiful woman with an infectious personality and a lighthearted spirit. She was a very devoted Christian who taught children’s ministry at church. She loved the beauty of life, the serenity of plants, and the companionship of animals. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Linda found her greatest joy in her family. Her grandchildren were her world, and she loved taking them on adventures and creating cherished memories together.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Magee; her children, Heather Magee Trumps (Brian) of Lafayette, Patrick Ferguson of Freeport, TX, Daniel Magee (Alyssa) of Lafayette, and Jonathan Magee (Ashley) of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Dameon, Arlum, Aaron, and Emrie; her father, Keith Jarrel; one brother, Jimmy Ferguson; and one sister, Audrey Jarrel.

She is preceded in death by her mother Rosie Lee Ferguson.
