Linda Ruth Fairley (Hickman), 73, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, in Wiggins, Mississippi. Born on April 30, 1952, in the same town she called home throughout her life, Linda’s journey was one of unwavering faith, deep love for her family, and a heart full of kindness.
Linda was the beloved daughter of Charlene and Ovin Hickman, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Fairley. Together, Linda and James built a life rooted in devotion to each other and their family.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Kris King and Jill Clary. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Bailey Moran, Taylor Thompson, Logan Thompson, Kamryn Fairley, and Aaryn Clary. Each of them held a special place in her heart and brought immense joy to her life.
A woman of profound faith, Linda was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Wiggins. Her Bible study group was a source of strength and fellowship for her over the years. God always came first in Linda’s life and her faith guided every step she took and served as the foundation for how she loved others.
Those who knew Linda will remember her as a kind and loving soul whose warmth touched everyone around her. Her family meant everything to her; she loved them fiercely and unconditionally. Her gentle spirit and steadfast devotion to those she held dear left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A funeral service honoring Linda’s life will be held at First Baptist Church in Wiggins, Mississippi, on September 9, 2025.
Linda Ruth Fairley will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held on September 9, 2025, from 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM at First Baptist church 219 2nd st N, Wiggins, MS.
