Leticia Bantay

Leticia “Letty” Bantay peacefully passed away at the age of 88 on Sunday, May 25th, 2025, in Walnut Creek, California. She was born on September 14th in the Philippine Islands.

Letty was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Bantay. She is survived by her two sons, Gene and John, and her daughter Christina (Michael). Forever cherished by her grandchildren, Michaela and Colin; surviving siblings and their families- Clarita, Lucy, and Danilo.

The owner of Salon de Christina in San Francisco for thirty years, Letty was blessed with numerous friends with whom she shared her love of family, cooking, and God. After her retirement, she spent her days caring for her husband until his death in 2000. Letty then participated in the church choir of Holy Angels alongside her sister, Clarita, and late brother, Erdie.

Known as Lola to her grandchildren, Letty showed her devotion to them and made sure that they were happy, healthy and fed!

There will be a private family celebration of her life on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 1:00pm at Ouimet Brothers Funeral Chapel in Concord, California.
