Leandro Gonzales

Leandro Patrick Gonzales, 74, of Colorado Springs, CO passed away on July 11, 2025.

He is preceded in death by this parents, Rudolph “Rudy” and Esther Armenta Gonzales; siblings, Joe Gonzales, Eva Montoya, Rudy “Sonny” C. Gonzales, Valentino Gonzales and Jean Salas.

He is survived by his sister, Fern (Gilbert) Fransua of Pueblo, CO; brother, Marcy (Cathy) Gonzales of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Leandro Patrick (Liz) Gonzales of Colorado Springs, CO; daughters, Pauline Josephine (Michael) Loreth of Colorado Springs, CO and Crystal Patience (Arturo) Vazquez of Colorado Springs, CO; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Leandro was born July 17, 1950 in Pueblo, CO to Rudy and Esther.  In April of 1970 he enlisted in the US Army. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and was a certified Sharpshooter. He was a big fan of Nascar, enjoyed hunting and fishing (more like sleeping in front of a pole) and loved watching cowboy movies.
