Kathleen Barbato

Kathleen (AKA Sandy) Winona Barbato passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter in Broomfield on May 15, 2025.

Sandy was born in Winchester, Virginia on January 5, 1930 to Mary and Frederick Teets. She graduated from Handley High School in Winchester,

Virginia in 1947. She married Robert Barbato June 30, 1956 in Winchester, VA. They moved to Hartford, Connecticut. Bob’s job took them to Somerville, NJ, then to Middletown, NJ and finally to Boulder, Colorado in 1969. They attended First Presbyterian Church (NKA Grace Commons) in Boulder, CO. Sandy and Bob enjoyed ballroom dancing, square/round dancing and motorcycle touring. She enjoyed bible study and was in Bible Study Fellowship for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Barbato (Nick), Broomfield, CO Brother, Beverly Teets (Helen), Stephens City, VA Grandson, Corey Gypin (Brianne), Longmont, CO

Grandson, Christian Gypin (Heather), Firestone, CO.
