Karol D’Amore

Karol A. D’Amore, 80, a life-long resident of Johnstown, New York passed away peacefully Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Mountain Valley Hospice, with her loving husband by her side.

Karol was born on December 8, 1944, in Gloversville, New York to the late Blanche (Thurston) Shull and Harold Shull.

In 1963, Karol was united in marriage to James L. D’Amore, also of Johnstown. The pair shared 62 wonderful years together. Karol was preceded in passing by her parents, Blanche and Harold Shull.

Karol leaves behind her loving husband, James L. D’Amore; Her son, Joseph J. D’Amore (Leisa) of Johnstown; her grandchildren, Aydan D’Amore and Chantal Intonte; her great-granddaughter, Charli Patterson; her siblings, Mary Ann Shepard, and Robert Shull, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and close friends can pay their respects on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1 North Market Street, Johnstown, New York 12095.
