Judy Marlene Herron

Age 80 of Owosso passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Henry Ford Hospital surrounded by loved ones.

Funeral services will be held at Nelson-House Funeral Home, with Rev. Jason Steele officiating. The family will receive friends and family at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Saturday, June 21st, at 1:00 pm for a memorial service. Friends and family are invited to gather at the funeral home for visitation from 12:00-1:00 before the service.

Judy was born October 29, 1944 in Sault Ste. Marie, the daughter of Loy and Miriam (Gough) Roe.

She graduated from Rudyard High School, class of 1962, and attended Ferris State University as well as Baker College in Owosso.

Judy always put her family first and was “Grandma” to many people who met her. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as knitting, reading, gardening, and attending Community Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

She married Richard Herron on June 21, 1963 in Rudyard.

Judy was co-owner of Herron Well Drilling. She worked and retired from Fifth Third Bank after 20 years of service.

Judy is lovingly remembered by many family members. She is survived by her husband Richard; son Larry (Wendy) Herron; grandchildren Chelsea (Brett) Fox, Caitlan (Jon) Selleck, Paul (Paige) Herron, Scott (Torrey) Herron; great grandchildren Walker Lehnert, Jack Fox; sister Nancy Lyons, brothers William (Patrice) Roe and Ronald (Michelle) Roe; many other loving family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents and son, Brent Herron.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shiawassee RESD in lieu of flowers. Judy enjoyed supporting special education students at the Shiawassee RESD throughout the years. Any memorial contributions will go towards the special education students at the Shiawassee RESD.
