Judy M. Beattie, 61 of Mendota, passed away unexpectedly September 18, 2025, in OSF St. Paul Medical Center.
Visitation will be Monday, September 22 form 10am-11am in Wasmer Funeral Home. Services will be at 11am in the funeral home with Pastor Jared Cochran.
Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, LaMoille.
Judy was born June 4, 1964, in Mendota to Eugene and Joyce (Judd) Provow. She graduated Mendota High School in 1982. In Las Vegas, on September 16,1993 she married the love of her life, Brian Beattie. In her work career she did assembly work at RR Donnelly, worked the checkout at Ace Hardware, and spent several years as a caregiver at Stonecroft Village. Judy loved “her people” and she loved them hard. She was a firm believer in Jesus Christ. Judy always rooted for the underprivileged and underdog. She loved card games, especially Rummy. Judy beat Brian consistently-even when he cheated. She fished and crocheted and collected anything and everything Elvis. Going to Chicago Cub games was a favorite of Judy’s, but she would watch them whenever she could. She will be forever missed by her husband Brian of Mendota, daughter Amanda (Ed) Jarman of LaSalle, son Alva (Jessica) Richards Jr. of Waubeka, Wisconsin, Mother Joyce Gualandi of Mendota, 8 grandchildren: Maycie, Edward, Evelyn, Alice-Joy, RaeLee, Alva III, Laynee, Mira, 2 brothers: Ken (Fran Duffy) Provow of Earlville, Wendell (Veronica Williams) Provow of Lee Center 2 sisters-in-law Vickie Arbuckle of Amboy, Denise Schmidt of Mendota, Step mother-in-law Fran Beattie of LaMoille, and her best fur girl Gracie Lou. Judy was preceded in death by her father, 3 brothers: Eddie Dean Provow, Daryl Provow and Dale Provow, nephew Ken Provow Jr. and sister-in-law Connie Stanfield. Pallbearers will be Edward Jarman IV, Alva Richards III, Eddie Jarman III, Camryn Richards, Allen Provow, Hunter Provow, Alva Richards Jr. and Alva Richards Sr. Memorials may be directed to IVAR Illinois Valley Animal Rescue.
