John Fennell

John Joseph Fennell, age 76, born into Eternal Life on June 23rd, 2025. Loving Husband of Sue (Coglianese) for over 55 years. Devoted Father of Jennifer (John) Hyland, Jason (Sara Schaller), Katy (Michael) Gainer, and Mark Fennell; Proud Papa of Mike, Matt, Tim, and Danny Hyland, John and Jessica Fennell, and JP and Griffin Gainer.

Beloved Son of the late Joseph and Betty Fennell (Andersen); Dearest Brother of Chris (Jim) Treacy and the late Kevin Fennell; Fond Son-in-Law of Frank and Marie Coglianese (Feilen); Entertaining Brother-in-Law to Frank (Pat) Coglianese, Phil (Kathy) Coglianese, and Marty Coglianese; Fun Uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a man that will be missed by many of his cousins, neighbors, and friends.

Mostly remembered as a Loyal alumnus of Little Flower High School, a long-time parishioner of St. Denis, a dedicated football and baseball coach, a 33-year veteran of the Chicago Police Department and retired Detective, a member of the Elks Club, and a DIE HARD Fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.
