Joanne Wilkerson

Joanne Wilkerson, born on February 20, 1941 and raised in Hudson, NY to R.S. and Marion Phillips. Joanne went to school and graduated from Hudson High School and College at Green Mountain in Vermont.

She later moved to Hendersonville, North Carolina. She started working at Fletcher hospital and later became Park Ridge Hospital as the secretary for 30 years. She was the pianist for the Hendersonville Chorale for many years and was the pianist and organist at the First United Methodist Church in Hendersonville NC.

A lot like her father Russ Phillips, she to loved working in the garden. She also loved traveling and made three trips to Africa.

Joanne will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her other family includes Walt, Amy and Peter Keyser of Hendersonville, NC. Burt Keyser in Virginia, Phyllis Keyser in Salt Lake City, Utah and Anna Keyser in Madison, WI.

Any donations can be made to the Blue Ridge Human Society in Hendersonville NC. There will be a viewing on Wednesday June 25th 2025 at Shuler Funeral Home from 1-2pm. A graveside service will be at 2:30PM Wednesday at Shepherds Memorial Park in Hendersonville, NC.
