Jimmy “Jim” Kent

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Jim Kent, who left us in his sleep at his home on June 14, 2025, at the age of 68. Jim was a man of many passions, his love for his wife Maryann was one of many. They traveled together and pursued unique hobbies, including gold prospecting at their favorite gold mine and a few vacations to Hawaii were what he loved more recently. This is where he felt the most at peace, and especially being in the great outdoors when his health allowed.

Jim is survived by his devoted wife, Maryann Kent; his sons, Jimmy in Yakima, WA, David in Kirkland, WA, Leanna in Hermiston, OR, and Tony in Portland, OR.

He is remembered by his loving Siblings: Karen, Debbie, Cathy, Mark, Carl, Eddie in Colorado, Billy Ray Burns Jr. in Florida, and Ray J in Missouri, Tohnya in Kansas. Grandchildren: Raven, Anthony K, Anthony B, Thomas, Angelena, Jachob, Chase, Blaze, Jozif. And many nieces and nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held on July 12th at 3:30 PM at Yakima Alliance Church, located at 902 S 36th Ave, Yakima, WA 98902. In lieu of flowers you can send donations to 1410 Roosevelt Avenue Yakima, Washington 98902.
