Jesse Wheeler

The family of Jesse James Wheeler of Bleecker, New York, is saddened to announce his passing on June 25, 2025 at the age of 45. 

Jesse was a shining light in the lives of all that knew him. His journey through life was marked by love, compassion, and his strong faith in God.

Jesse graduated from Gloversville High School in 1998. Upon earning an associate’s degree in Math from Schenectady Community College, he went on to Cornell University to study Science. He graduated in 2005 then moved to Boston where he was employed by several pharmaceutical companies including CombinatoRx, Biogen-IDEC, Tesaro, and Moderna.

Jesse lived life to its fullest. He had a great sense of humor and a down-to-earth personality. He enjoyed traveling, reading, spending time with family and friends, and taking long walks. Jesse loved sports and had a passion for golf. He was known for the long distance he could drive a ball.

He is survived by his loving parents Paul and Diane, and his big brother Paul Jason.

He leaves behind his uncles and aunts who he loved dearly. Among them are John and Cathy DeSieno, Art and Lori DeSieno, Chris Wheeler, and Philip and Irina Wheeler. His cousins include Jennifer Capello, Lisa Relyea, Allison DeSieno, Andrew DeSieno, Katelyn Kolowski, Cristal Wheeler-Cleland, Keith Wheeler, and Skylar Wheeler. He was predeceased by his grandparents Arthur and Margaret DeSieno and Aurora Wheeler.

Jesse’s passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by him.

A celebration of his life will take place at his home in Bleecker on July 26, 2025.
