Ernesto Gaglianese

Ernesto Gaglianese, born on March 30, 1936 in Tiriolo Catanzaro, Italy, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2013. Ernesto married

Rosa Mazza in Tiriolo Catanzaro, Italy in September 1963.

Ernesto and Rosa were both born in the same home town and knew each other since childhood. Before getting married to Rosa, at the age of 18, Ernesto had enlisted in the Italian Army. He served in Germany for 18 months before returning back home in Italy. Ernesto then immigrated to Niagara Falls, NY in January 1964 to be with Rosa, which is where she was living. They had two children, Tommaso and Maria while living in Niagara Falls, NY. They then moved to New Rochelle, NY in 1966, had their third child, Domenic and raised their family.

While living in NY, Ernesto worked as a construction worker in a local union. In his free time, he loved spending time gardening, playing cards with his friend Francisco, watching Italian movies and listening to Italian records.

Ernesto is survived by his wife Rosa, their three children, Tommaso, Maria and Domenic, son-in-law Kevin, daughter-in-law Lisa, his 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Christopher, Nicholas, Joseph and Anthony, his brother Gino, nieces and nephews Angelo, Tomasina, Maria, Nicolina, Maria, Adelina, Tomasso, Tomasso and Francesco.

Ernesto is predeceased by his brothers Domenico and Franco.
