Jeanne Sali
- June 14, 2025

Jeanne (Chaput) Sali, 90, of North Grosvenordale, CT, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the beloved wife of James Sali, whom she married at St. Joseph’s Church in North Grosvenordale on January 19, 1957.
Born in North Grosvenordale, CT, to the late Theodore and Wilhemina (Valade) Chaput, Jeanne attended St. Joseph’s High School and attended Annhurst College. She was the proud mother of Kathryn, Margaret (Sam), John and Nancy (Jim). She was the meme to four grandchildren: Lara, Gen, Haley and Jenna. She was always available to watch her grandchildren when they were young. She was involved in the St. Joseph’s PTO and worked in the school cafeteria. She volunteered as a Lassie League Coach and held many town organizational meetings at her home. She filed many tax returns both professionally and personally. She was a miraculous record keeper! In her spare time, Jeanne enjoyed crossword puzzles and researching family genealogy.
She was co-owner of Jeans Wearhouse, a retail establishment on the Webster/Dudley line. She was there every day, working behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly. Jeanne had a quiet presence and a calm demeanor that made everyone feel comfortable and accepted.
The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the DKH Hospice Staff, in addition to our two invaluable caregivers, Sheila and Pauline.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit Jeanne’s family from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at The Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main Street North Grosvenordale, CT 06255. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 11:30 AM at St. Jospeh Church, 18 Main St, North Grosvenordale, CT 06255. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to The Thompson Public Library, 934 Riverside Dr, North Grosvenor Dale, CT 06255 as well as St. Jospeh Church, 18 Main St, North Grosvenordale, CT 06255.
