N. Grosvenordale – Jasmin A. Floyd, 31, died on April 20, 2025. Born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on May 25, 1993, she was the daughter of John Floyd and the late RoJeanne Doege. She was a graduate of Woodstock Academy, in Woodstock, CT.
Jasmin was born with Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) and lived her life to the fullest despite the progressive and disabling physical limitations of this rare disease. She attended the Hole in the Wall camp many summers, an experience that allowed her to enjoy all the uninhibited uniqueness of summer camp and which was the source of many lifelong friendships.
Jasmin loved to travel and went on many different adventures, including FOP conventions and advocacy engagements. Her love of travel was only eclipsed by her love of music. She attended multiple concerts and created friends in online communities around the world who shared her love of music.
With an artistic nature and her creative writing ability, Jasmin opened her own small business producing cards and candles which she sold on line and at craft fairs. She had a significant following on social media and enjoyed this creative outlet. Jasmin also was a huge animal lover and recently adopted an older cat named Mitzi after caring for previous cherished fur babies.
Jasmin is survived by her father, John Floyd; her aunt, Carol Raleigh; her aunt Rhonda Farr (Wesley); her uncle, Randal Doege; cousin Nicole Kramer (Eric); and her muchloved cat, Mitzi. Jasmin also had many dedicated caregivers who were as close as family.
A memorial service is planned for Jasmin and her mother, RoJeanne on Saturday, April 26, 2025, 2:00 pm at the East Woodstock Congregational Church, 220 Woodstock Ave, East Woodstock, CT. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Hole in the Wall Gang, 565 Ashford Center Rd, Ashford, CT 06278 or the PAWS Cat Shelter, 74 School St, Putnam, CT 06260.
