Emiko Weiland

Emiko Ito Weiland was born in Gunma Japan and moved to Tokyo Japan where she attended college at Hagiwara Fashion Design School. Emiko ultimately became a teacher at the same design school and help set up design manufacturing in Taiwan and other areas of Japan. She travelled the United States through a host family program and married Franklin Weiland Sr in 1971. 

Emy raised her son Franklin Weiland Jr and later worked at Gateway School in Gilroy with a great team. She was active in the community and enjoyed haiku poetry, traveling, knitting, and time with her family. After retirement, Emy traveled the world over a span of a decade covering approximately 150 countries. 

She is survived by Her son Franklin Jr, daughter in law Una, granddaughter Grace, Sister Akiko, and brother Tamio. 

Services will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 10:00A.M. at Lima-Campagna-Johnson Funeral Home in Morgan Hill.
