James Hill Obituary
James C. “Jim” Hill, 88, of Senecaville, passed away Saturday December 12, 2020 surrounded by his family.

He was born October 19, 1932 in Akron and was the son of the late William Hill and Hazel (Starcher) Wyatt.

Jim was a graduate of Akron Ellett High School, Akron University with a degree in Engineering, and pursued his graduate degree at Northwestern. Jim was a self-employed Machinist-Inventor. He started the family business in the basement of his home in Oak Park, IL, making hydraulic valves, many of which were used in the mining and steel industries. He would expand his business to employ several family members.

Jim enjoyed taking care of his land, keeping his equipment running well, going to Wheeling, auctions, yard sales and garage sales.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Jim Hill; three brothers, Dick, Sonny and Phil; two sisters, June and Patricia.

He is survived by his wife of thirty eight years, Thuy Le (Tran) Hill whom he married March 3, 1982; one son, Ken Hill of Edgartown Marthas Vineyard, MA; four daughters, Caren (Harry) Gilchrest of Seattle, WA, Susan Hill of Edgartown Marthas Vineyard, MA, Patricia Hill (Mikey Sullivan) of New Concord, and Sarah Hill of Senecaville; one brother, Edward Hill of Plainfield, IL; ten grandchildren, Heidi, Chris, Kevin, Geoff, Marie, Crystal, Selena, Celeste, Silvia and Booger; ten great grandchildren, Kiora, Mila, Kadence, Kaya, Zorian, Raymond, Elijah, Phoenix, Kodiak and Chase.

Private visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. with graveside services to follow at 1:00 p.m. in Senecaville Cemetery.
