JAMES FARRIS ALEXANDER SR “Big Farris,” departed this earth on September 06, 2025 at the age of 71. Farris was born to Mr. James Corley Alexander and Ms. Ora Mae Alexander and was their only child from their union. Both parents preceded him in death.

Big Farris was a graduate of the Hawthorne High Class of 1972. Big Farris would later join the United States Air Force where he was honorably discharged. He remained a longtime resident, 23 years, at the Gainesville Health and Rehabilitation Facility in Gainesville, Florida.

Big Farris leaves his memories to be cherished by James Farris Alexander, Jr. (son), April Tyanne Taylor (daughter), Lakeisha Alexander (daughter), Christine Williams (as a surrogate sister), his grandchildren; Adriana J. Alexander, Joseph C. Jones, Jamille A. Alexander, and Desiree Lewis; great grandchildren, Adonis Zion Jones, Sariyah Simone Jones, and Jaide Naiari Jones and host of friends and family

Big Farris was preceded in death by his second son, Demetris James Alexander.
