Jacqueline “Jackie” Yvonne Lantz (née Suzzi), age 79, of Schaumburg, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, surrounded by the family she so dearly loved. Born on July 18, 1946, to the late Jerome and Alice Suzzi, Jackie lived a vibrant life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering strength.
Jackie was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Lantz, with whom she shared many beautiful years and cherished weekends on the boat. Together, they built a life full of memories, nautical getaways, and an enduring partnership that modeled love and devotion.
She was a loving mother to Steve (Jill) Lantz and Jenni (Jeff) Abrahamson, and a proud, adoring grandmother to Benjamin, Cooper, Emma, and Erika. Her role as “Grandma Jackie” was one she treasured deeply — always present to cheer, support, and celebrate her grandchildren’s milestones and adventures.
Jackie is also survived by her dear siblings, Michael (Debbie) Suzzi and Linda (the late Tom) Lazzara. Her bond with her sister Linda was especially strong — a connection filled with treasured time together, deep conversation, and shared memories.
A spirited woman with a sense of humor and a determined nature, Jackie cherished her independence and zest for life. She found joy in crafts, reading, collecting antiques, and her love of lighthouses. Her faithful cat, Lilly, was her constant companion and comfort.
Jackie maintained lifelong friendships and close ties with her neighbors, always keeping in touch and showing up when it mattered most. She retired from her position as an assistant with Country Financial, where her warmth and commitment left a lasting impression on those she worked with.
To know Jackie was to experience her kindness, empathy, and generosity. Her door was always open, her advice always wise, and her heart always full. Her legacy is one of strength, loyalty, and love — especially for her family, with whom she built a life filled with memory and meaning. Jackie will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
