Jack Hake

 Jack Lewis Hake, age 94 of Big Rock, IL passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at his home. He was born on August 22, 1931 the son of Ben and Ethyl (Adams) Hake.

Jack was united in marriage to Miss Dorothy Lee Mallory on December 31, 1954 and they have spent the next 70 years happily together until her passing on Friday, November 21, 2025. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Jack owned and operated Hake Realty for many years until his retirement. In later years he also prepared income tax. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be missed by all who knew him.

Jack is survived by his children, Cindy (Gene) Nehring of Big Rock, IL, Larry (Patty) Hake of Sandwich, IL, Nancy (Alan) Talkington of Aurora, IL, John Edward (Mary Beth) Hake of Big Rock, IL; his fourteen grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; his sisters, Beverly Van Wey, Shirley Dietz, Connie (Frank) Delka; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Ethyl Hake; his infant son, Kenneth Duane Hake.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Nash-Nelson Memorial Chapel, 141 N. Maple Street, Hinckley, IL. Interment will follow in West Big Rock Cemetery, Big Rock, IL.

Friends may visit from 9:00 AM until the Hour of Service on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at the Memorial Chapel in Hinckley, IL.
