Helen McCarty

Helen Jane Kendrick McCarty, age 73, of Prestonsburg, Kentucky passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. She was born November 18, 1951 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to the late Russell Kendrick and Edna Mae Garrett Kendrick. She was the Wife of Jimmie McCarty. Along with her Husband she is survived by her Sons: Jason Russell (Jennifer) Kendrick of Prestonsburg, Kentucky and Joseph Kevin (Amy) McCarty of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; Daughters: Ashley Jane (Barry) Blair of Lowmansville, Kentucky and Kristi Elaine (Colby) Cunningham of Abingdon, Virginia; Grandchildren: Emery McCoy, Gage Kendrick, Leah Blair, Ian Blair and Kaylee Joe McCarty; Great Grandchildren: Hunter Ray McCoy, Carter Reed McCoy and Eden Mae Kendrick. Along with her parents, She is preceded in death by her Brothers: William Joe (Margie) Kendrick and Gary Randal (Judy) Kendrick; Sisters: Vivian Carol Kendrick, Barbara Ann Kendrick and Deborah Mae (Bill) Hedrick. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Visitation will begin Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 6pm at the funeral home and continue all day Monday

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 1pm at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Prestonsburg, Kentucky with Dr. Mark Tackett officiating

Burial will follow at Mayo Cemetery, Prestonsburg, Kentucky
