June 9, 1989 – June 15, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Gregor “Greg” Reginald Dolson of Strathmore, Alberta on June 15, 2025 at the age of 36.
Born in Calgary on June 9, 1989, Greg grew up in Strathmore where he attended Sacred Heart Academy and Strathmore High School. Greg was a man of deep Catholic faith, known for his generosity, honesty, and unwavering work ethic. He had a passion for weightlifting, hockey, and basketball—especially cheering on the Edmonton Oilers and the Golden State Warriors. He found peace in the outdoors, often hiking Alberta’s beautiful trails with his beloved dog’s Lola and Niko. Greg also took great pride in his Mustang and Toyota Tacoma, which reflected his love for solo adventures.
Above all, Greg was a devoted son, a loving brother, and a cherished uncle. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Karen Dolson, his sister Brianne Dolson, and her children Maggie and Marley Clark. He will also be deeply missed by his extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Greg was predeceased by his grandparents: Peter and Anne Motkoski, Lois and John Helm, and Reginald and Charlie Dolson.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Strathmore, AB at 11:00 a.m. on where friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Greg’s life.
In lieu of other tributes, donations in Greg’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation. (www.diabetes.ca)
Greg’s kindness, strength, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
