Georgia Carolyn Lemaster Louden, age 94, of Indianapolis, Indiana, formerly of Bedford, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Evergreen Crossing and The Lofts in Indianapolis. Born May 23, 1931 in Bedford, she was the daughter of George O. and Jennie (Wood) Miles.
Mrs. Louden was a graduate of the Indianapolis School for the Deaf, and spent one year at Gallaudet College in Washington, D.C. She retired as a key punch operator with the U.S. Census Bureau in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and had also worked at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis. She was a member of the Deaf Club in Pendleton, Indiana, where she once lived, and Indianapolis, and enjoyed word puzzles and traveling.
Her surviving family includes one daughter and son-in-law, Glenna and John Barnett of Sulphur, Kentucky, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Louden, and a twin brother at birth, Eddie Miles.
Reverend Tommy Purvis will conduct the funeral services.
