Deborah Ann Brem, 76, of Valley Mills, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Whitney Nursing and Rehab.

Visitation: 2PM, Thursday, October 30th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorial Service: 3PM, Thursday, October 30th, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel. Her remains will be placed with her beloved husband, Ollie, at Wortham Bend Cemetery in China Spring at a later date.

Deborah was born on March 8, 1949, in Meridian, Texas, to Stanley Sr. and Euna Mae Smith. She married Ollie Jerry Brem on June 3, 1967, and together they shared 47 wonderful years of marriage.

Throughout her life, Deborah was a hardworking and dedicated woman. She operated Brem’s Fence Co. for nearly 35 years and diligently kept the books for all of Ollie’s many ventures, including fencing, cattle, goats, cars, and equipment, before retiring in 2003. Outside of work, Deborah had a creative and nurturing spirit. She loved woodworking, quilting, gardening, canning, and crochet, and found great joy in caring for her family. Her greatest pride and joy were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Euna Mae Smith; her husband, Ollie Brem; and her brothers, Michael Smith and Edward Smith.

Deborah is survived by her loving family, sons Ronald Ray Brem and wife Laura of Valley Mills, Richard Dale Brem and wife Lori Love of China Spring; daughter, Rebecca Lee Ballard and husband Jeremiah of Valley Mills; siblings Cathy Koch of Gholson, Darlene Raider and husband Wes of Lengby, MN, and Stanley Smith Jr. and wife Fran of Waco; grandchildren Kyle Brem, Hunter Brem, Bradley Brem, Jacob Ballard, Taylor Brem, Dawn Lovestone, and Jillian Ballard; and seven beloved great-grandbabies.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Lori Love, Samantha Lewis, and Brenda Hykle for their years of devoted care and companionship to Deborah.

Her warmth, creativity, and love for her family will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
